Here is the inevitable blog post where I embed the cover of Blink-182′s “Dammit” that I did the other day.

Who could of seen this coming?

As expected, I fuck up a few times. Yup.

I just spent a good chunk of time writing up another blithe personal blog post. No one cares to read it, I don’t even know if I care to write it. Sometimes I probably just feel narcissistic enough to convince myself that there are people who really care enough about my boring day-to-day life that they want to read 800 word posts about whatever meaningless crap I have to type. I’ve spent the last couple days reading and driving (golf balls). I also have been playing with my camera. I really know nothing about cameras, but I should figure out how to take decent photos beyond the “auto” setting.

I’ve been playing with shutter speed and light. I took a few new pictures the other day, and I put them in the rotator (the picture display to the right of this). It changes the picture every time you load a new page on the site, which is pretty cool. Either way, here is the shots I managed to come out with. I think I might go and try taking pictures outside of my apartment tomorrow night. I really want a tripod now.

This doesn’t make me a photographer. I did, in fact, feel the need to make that clarification.

So I decided that in the ever moving act of self promotion, I should post my cover up on YouTube. I refuse to be the guy who posts videos to YouTube with only audio, so I decided that I should record the cover live on video, it came out sounding a little bit better than the recording (in my opinion). Figured I would make a post about it, why not right? The audio isn’t totally sync’d and I have no idea why YouTube always does that with my Photobooth video, but whatever I suppose.

I was going to spend some time posting my first impressions of the new game “The Saboteur”, but I am too tired to put true thought to my feelings on it. I will write it up before I get a chance to play it tomorrow, and so the first impression shall go until tomorrow. I figure the fare for this post should be more full of personal content, I haven’t posted one of those type blogs for a while.

This week has been odd. Work has been slower than previous years, but I am more tired than usual. There aren’t hours in a day for me to get everything I want to do. I need to do laundry, among a bunch of other stuff. I just don’t know where the time goes, and going to bed this late is starting to take a toll on me.  Sometimes I wish I could just not work. I mean, the reality of that would probably not be as keen as the idea. I remember when I wasn’t working, it was hell.

I don’t know, maybe if I could have a week off, to sit alone and get things done. Maybe then I would have time to think, and maybe get my head straight.

For anyone who doesn’t already know, I have been trying to make the best use out of the 3.0MP camera with autofocus I have attached to my iPhone (3GS). Its the strongest camera I have, and also I like the idea of getting the best possible pictures I can on my cellphone.

Well, do you know?

So earlier today I recorded (most) of a song I have been working on. A cover, and I’ve been learning it for awhile, its tough to sing and play.

It’s still far from perfect, and I messed up a handful of times. But I figured I would share what I have, as its more than the nothing I’ve been doing lately. I am working on a couple covers, as well as actively working on real songs. Who knows, maybe the next video I post will be a full song, or even an original one.
